Take the pap test!
Today, on September 20, 2017, the staff of the elementary schools “Hilmi Rakovica” was informed more about what is cervical cancer and who is risked form the cervical cancer.
The lecture was held by Dr. Florina Grezda, a family doctor and at the same time coordinator and lecturer of health education and promotion, where also women that were present had the opportunity to ask questions about health care. In the Municipality of Prishtina Ā the provision of Pap tests is continuing within the primary level of health care. The pilot phase enabled the identification of cases that could lead to the development of cervical cancer, thus the early treatment turned to a be a success. Therefore, women can perform this service within the primary health care level.
This lecture was organized by Action for Mothers and Children within theĀ Ā Cervical Cancer Program, supported by the United Nations Population Fund in Kosovo.
