Empowering women and supporting children for a healthier Kosovo

Cycle Kosovo for Children Raises €16,000 for Pediatric Clinic, Continues Campaign Toward €25,000 Goal

June 23, 2026

The 12th edition of Cycle Kosovo for Children (CKC), organized in partnership with Action for Mothers and Children (AMC), has raised €16,000 for the purchase of medical equipment to support critically ill children and pediatric diabetes patients. Fundraising continues online through July to reach our €25,000 goal to improve services in the Intensive Care and Endocrinology units of the Pediatric Clinic in Prishtina.

From June 18-21, more than 40 dedicated cyclists tackled more than 500 kilometers and several thousand meters of elevation, demonstrating their commitment to improving healthcare for children in Kosovo. The closing celebration at Miqt Pub in Prishtina included a charity raffle with proceeds contributing to the overall fundraising total.

“For twelve years, Cycle Kosovo for Children has shown what is possible when people come together for a common purpose,” said AMC Executive Director Rina Demiri Spahija. “The dedication of our cyclists and the generosity of our supporters have helped us raise €18,000 so far – an important step toward our €25,000 goal. We hope this momentum continues throughout July as we work to raise the remaining funds needed to provide children at the Pediatric Clinic with vital medical equipment and the care they deserve.”

Donations to CKC 12 can still be made through the GlobalGiving campaign: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/cycle-kosovo-for-children-12th-edition/

Since its launch in 2014, CKC has mobilized the cycling community, businesses and individual supporters to strengthen maternal and child healthcare across Kosovo. As in previous years, cyclists covered their own participation costs, ensuring that every donation goes directly toward purchasing much-needed medical equipment.

CKC and AMC extend their sincere gratitude to all cyclists, sponsors, donors and supporters whose generosity and dedication made this year’s event possible. With online fundraising continuing through July, the organizations encourage everyone to help reach an even greater impact by contributing to CKC 12’s GlobalGiving campaign.
