September 15, 2026

Thanks to the generosity of OST- Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, with the support of Liridona Makica, a friend of the AMC Foundation, six hospital beds have been brought to Kosovo. Four of the beds have been donated to the Pediatric Clinic at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK) in Prishtina, while two have been donated to the Main Family Medicine Center in Vitia.

This donation responds to concrete needs identified in collaboration with the beneficiary institutions. Hospitals and family medicine centers across Kosovo continue to require improvements in infrastructure, as well as ongoing support through donations and investments in essential medical equipment. Through partnerships such as this, AMC works alongside public healthcare institutions and donors to help create better conditions for patients and healthcare professionals.

“Children and families seeking healthcare deserve safe, dignified, and properly equipped environments. Every concrete contribution can make a meaningful difference. We are grateful to our partners for enabling us to respond to identified needs together with healthcare institutions,” said AMC Executive Director Rina Demiri Spahija.

Dr. Alije Keka Sylaj, Director of the Pediatric Clinic, said: “This donation responds to a genuine need of our clinic and will directly support the care we provide to children and families. We sincerely appreciate this valuable support and our continued collaboration.”

“We are very grateful to AMC for the donation of two beds, which will help us improve our daily work and provide better services to our patients,” said Dr. Vjollca Kadolli, Director of the Main Family Medicine Center (QKMF) in Viti.

AMC extends its sincere thanks to OST, Liridona Makica, the Pediatric Clinic at UCCK and the Main Family Medicine Center in Vitia for their support and close collaboration.

AMC remains committed to strengthening maternal and child healthcare in Kosovo through partnerships, medical equipment donations, education, professional development and advocacy.
