Cardiopulmonary monitors arrive in the Neonatology Intensive Care Unit in Prishtina

Prishtina, 28 March 2017-

Today we solemnly delivered the cardiopulmonary monitors in the Nenatology Intensive Care Unit at the Universtiy Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK). These cardiopulmonary monitors are an essential equipment for the care of newborn babies.

The monitors are connected directly to the infant body to monitor vital signs such as temperature, measure heart and breathing rates in infants and emit signals when these signs change or deteriorate.

These equipments have been very necessary for our clinic and we are very grateful for this donation. Now our babies will have the proper and necessary care” declared Dr. Shpresa Sylejmani, doctor in the Neonatology Clinic in UCC.

Dafina Krasniqi from Action for Mothers and Children, declared that “we are committed in offering our support to help babies live and we focus on providing solutions to those problems that improve the effectiveness of care delivered for our babies and are prioritized by the Clinic. It is a real pleasure to deliver these monitors today, made possible through our dedicated donors, and fulfill some of the needs of the Neonatal Clinic” – adds  Krasniqi.

The purchasing and delivery of cardiopulmonary monitors  today is made possible through support and donors of the 2016 fundraising events – “Cycle Kosovo for Children” and “Let’s Dance for Mothers and Children.”
