Valbona and Mali’s story

Valbona Desku gave birth in a private maternity clinic. A couple of hours later, her son, Mali, was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK) in Prishtina. Mali was born with a serious health condition and needed to be placed immediately on a medical respirator, made possible by Action for Mothers and Children through its many donors. Today, Mali is doing wonderfully. He is eating well and is growing each day.
