The next workshop with the medical staff in Ferizaj is held

Prishtina, 17 December 2015-

Today, Action for Mothers and Children together with the Family Medicine Centre in Ferizaj organized a workshop as part of its activities at Women’s Health Resource Center.

In today’s workshop we discussed about “Psychological and Physical preparation for labor” and “The importance of breastfeeding.” The workshop aimed at encouraging family doctors and nurses in evidence-based education of women on antenatal and postnatal care.

The volunteer staff engaged at our Women’s Health Resource Centers facilitated the workshop. The Center promotes patient-centered care through women empowerment on antenatal and postnatal care, by providing as such evidence-based information in individual and group settings.

In today’s workshop we were honored with the presence of Dr. Genc Ymerhalili, the Director of Development of Family Medicine in Kosovo, who encouraged the engagement of the staff of Family Medicine Center in patient empowerment and education.

The activities of our Women’s Health Resource Center are supported by the World Health Organization, office in Prishtina.
