The gas analyzer machine is donated to the Neonatology Clinic in Gjakova

Novermber 20, Gjakovë

Today, Action for Mothers and Children, together with the organizers of “Cycle Kosovo for Children” donated the gas analyzer machine – GEM 3000 to the Neonatology Clinic in Gjakova – an essential device for measuring the level of oxygen and carbon dioxide at newborns with breathing difficulties which helps for early diagnosis if the baby is to be sent for specialized treatment in the tertiary care.

“It is a pleasure to hand over the gas analyzer machine to the Neonatology Department in Gjakova, which will improve the efficiency and the service of the Clinic towards infants health. We are happy that as an organization we are able to contribute by helping resolve the problems that the Clinic is facing,” said Erisa Jakupi, the Public Relations Officer at Action for Mothers and Children.

This device was provided by the funds raised by “Cycle Kosovo for Children”tour, which is an annual charity event held by local cyclists to raise funds for the humanitarian foundation Action for Mothers and Children. This year “Cycle Kosovo for Children” was held for the fifth consecutive year, where around 30 cyclists participated in the 4-day journey and raised around 7,000 Euros through contributions from companies and individuals, and through online campaigns.

We are very grateful for the donation given by Action for Mothers and Children, together with the “Cycle Kosovo for Children” team for the Neonatology Department at  ‘Isa Grezda’ Hospital in Gjakova, a donation that is much needed for us . We are looking forward to a long-term cooperation with the organization as we are all working towards the same mission-saving the lives of mothers and children” said Dr. Diana Dafota, from the Neonatology Clinic in Gjakova.
