Let’s Dance Event raises Eur 32,175 for mothers and children

Prishtina, 24 September 2016-

For the second year in a row, Action for Mothers and Children brought together over 400 people in the fundraising event “Let’s Dance”, which took place at Sheshi 21. The event, which is already a tradition, raises funds for health-care services benefiting mothers and children in Kosovo.

The amount raised this year through corporate sponsorships and ticket sales reached €32,175, making this a sensational success, surpassing at large the €24,000 raised in December 2015. Most importantly, the funds raised will go to the programs and services dedicated to mothers and children by making it possible for AMC to supply medications and medical equipment for hospitals, support the national program on neonatal transportation and expand the services of Women’s Health Resource Center which all contribute towards lowering maternal and child mortality rates in Kosovo.

“We are humbled by the generosity of our growing number of friends who have contributed to making “Let’s Dance” such a successful joint effort of showing support to mothers and children who face health-related challenges,” says Mrika Aliu, Executive Director of the Foundation.

“It is a real pleasure to see so many people supporting such a good cause as mothers and children of Kosovo. We thank all sponsors and those who purchased tickets to make the Let’s Dance 2 such a big success,” says Michael Gold, Executive Director at Crimson Capital who is also a co-organizer.
