Action for mothers and children delivers medications worth 150,000 USD to University Clinical Center of Kosovo

The cooperation agreement signed between Action for Mother and Children and Direct Relief months ago, and Ministry of Health,  made possible to deliver essential medicaments worth 150,000 USD, in Clinic of Gynecology and Neonatology in University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK) on November 24, 2016.

Our foundation has reached agreement with “Direct Relief” organization, to support with medicaments and medical equipment in hospitals throughout Kosovo, which provide services for mother and children. Delivery and acceptance of first donation worth 150.000 USD, made today in central pharmacy magazine in UCCK. “We Hope this will be the first of more donations, expecting to come in future in Kosovo”, said Albiona Beha, from Action for Mother and Children (AMC).

Cooperation agreement between AMC and Direct Relief provides, that the latter, will give the medical equipment donation, including medicines consistently for Kosovo. Action for Mother and Children will provide acceptance, maintenance, preservation and distribution of donation received.

“The help that is coming from Action for Mother and Children, is to be appreciated and we are very grateful to foundation and all its partners,” declared Dr. Myrvete Pacarada, director of Gynecology and Neonatology Clinic in UCCK.

Direct Relief is a non-profit organization in USA, and works to support activities of its partners, providing essential materials and medical equipment to developing countries. Arrival of this first contingent in Kosovo, made possible thanks to donations collated from the event “Let’s dance for Mother and Children”.
