Memorandum of Understanding signed with Direct Relief for medical material donations

Action for Mothers and Children has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Direct Relief in support of efforts to provide essential medical material and medications. Direct Relief is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, based in the State of California – USA, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people. Direct Relief works to strengthen the efforts of its partners through the provision of resources, including financial, technical, and essential medical material and shares a common concern with Action for Mothers and Children for the health and welfare of the population in Kosovo.

This agreement regulates the collaboration between AMC and Direct Relief, whereby Direct Relief will provide donations of medical materials, including but not limited to medications, on ongoing basis. Action for Mothers and Children will ensure the receipt, safe storage and distribution process of the received materials. This collaboration is effective as of July 2016 and is of high importance in our efforts to assist family medicine centers and the hospital with medications and other medical materials that prevent and treat diseases and to enable the delivery of quality health services for mothers and children.
