CKC 2025 Raises €20,000 to Support Mothers and Newborns in MFMC in Drenas

Pristina, June 2025 – The 11th edition of Cycle Kosovo for Children (CKC) has once again proven the power of community and compassion, successfully raising €20,000 in support of the Maternity Unit at the Family Medicine Center in Drenas. All funds will be directed toward improving conditions and securing much-needed medical equipment for mothers and newborns.
From June 12–15, cyclists embarked on a powerful four-day journey, beginning in Pristina and traveling through Drenas, Istog, and the breathtaking mountain routes of Prevallë and Brezovica, before returning triumphantly to the capital. The event concluded with a warm and festive celebration at Miqt Pub, where riders were greeted by family, friends, and supporters. The evening was brought to life by a live music performance from Art Lokaj, creating an uplifting and heartfelt atmosphere.
This year’s CKC ride had one clear mission: to ensure that mothers and babies in Drenas receive the dignified care they deserve. Every kilometer ridden, every euro donated, and every cheer along the route brought us closer to this goal.
This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the cyclists, the outstanding coordination by the EULEX team led by Mr. Giovanni Pietro Barbano, and the continuous support and care of the Kosovo Police.
