Another vital donation to the Neonatology Clinic – 100 bottles of Survanta worth 40 thousand euros for premature babies!

Action for Mothers and Children (AMC), in partnership with Americares, has made another vital donation to the Neonatology Clinic in Kosovo, providing 100 bottles of Survanta valued at approximately €40,000. This donation is essential support for premature babies who require intensive care to survive and develop healthily.

Survanta is a critical therapy for treating Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), a serious condition affecting premature infants due to a lack of surfactant in their lungs. This medication helps open and support lung function, significantly reducing the risk of severe respiratory complications and increasing the chances of normal development for these babies.

Thanks to this donation, the Neonatology Clinic is now better equipped to provide effective treatment for dozens of premature infants born each year. AMC remain committed to supporting the health of mothers and babies in Kosovo by ensuring access to essential medications and equipment to improve healthcare outcomes.
