Rina Demiri Spahija
Rina joined Action for Mothers and Children as Executive Director in April 2024. Rina holds an MA in Management and Informatics from the University of Prishtina. She has worked for eleven years at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and was part of the financial supervision department. But, since Rina has become a mother, her career has developed in two different paths. She has volunteered in Kosovo for more than seven years as a Leader of La Leche League International, an organization that helps mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals.
Rina established the first mother-to-mother support group in Kosovo, La Leche League Kosova, where she provided evidence-based information regarding breastfeeding.

Laberie Çarreti Sylejmani
Laberie studied Psychology in University of Prishtina and worked with children and parents in WHO project and Rehabilitation Centre for Tortured Victims. Laberie joined AMC team in 2017. Laberie is project coordinator of Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting and facilitator of PDEP program too. She is engaged in Woman Health Resource Center “WHRC” within AMC and she is trainer of Post- Partum Depression in Mothers Classes. Working with children made her realize how amazing and exciting the world can be.

Jona Kastrati
Jona joined Action for Mothers and Children in 2024 as a Program Officer. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Prishtina. At AMC, Jona leads the implementation of key health programs, including the UNICEF-supported Early Childhood Development initiative and the Universal Home Visiting program. She manages a team of professionals, drives strategic planning, and provides support to enhance maternal and child health services across Kosovo. Jona also oversees the Medical Committee at AMC, fostering collaboration between local and international medical professionals to strengthen clinical services and program delivery. Her responsibilities further include donor reporting and mentoring international medical student through International Service-Learning Alliance (ISLA) internships abroad. Beyond her professional role, Jona has experience in journalism and enjoys writing, mentoring, and contributing to projects aimed at improving public health systems.

Donika Zeka
Donika Zeka holds a degree in Business Management from Rollins College in Florida, USA, and has been recognized with academic honors such as the President’s List and Dean’s List. She has built a solid professional profile in the field of project management. Currently, she serves as a Program Officer at the organization Action for Mothers and Children (AMC), where she leads the project supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). The project aims to reduce the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and improve sexual health in Kosovo through targeted interventions that address structural inequities and promote behavior change. In addition to her role as Program Officer, Donika also contributes as a Grant Proposal Writer, developing proposals to secure funding that supports the organization’s mission and programs. She is actively engaged in coordinating activities, collaborating with local and international stakeholders, and ensuring the quality implementation of initiatives in line with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Elvanda Gojani
Elvanda joined AMC as K10 Coalition Coordinator in March 2018. As Coalition Coordinator she leads, represents externally and guides the strategic communication of K10 prominent Kosovo based NGOs working on gender, sexual and reproductive health. She also leads advocacy actions for more equitable gender policies with relevant stakeholders. She has an extensive working experience in areas related to economy, finance, interfaith dialogue and recruitment at various enterprises in the private sector, NGOs and international organizations. Elvanda holds a master degree in European Economy, Finance and Institutions from the Tor Vergata University in Rome. In her spare time Elvanda does hiking and she enjoys exploring the nature.

Hana Kurti
Hana joined the foundation Action for Mothers and Children as PR & Event Officer in October 2021. She studied Marketing at the University of Prishtina and continued her master studies in Marketing and Social Media at City College, University of Sheffield in Thessaloniki, Greece. Hana has extensive work experience working with various marketing agencies, companies and organizations such as a Social Media Manager, PR & Communication and Event Marketing Coordinator.

Sara Mustafa Bajrami
Sara joined Action for Mothers and Children as the Fundraising and Development Manager. Before joining AMC, Sara gained valuable experience working in international development and fundraising, building strong partnerships and managing donor relations. Sara is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of mothers and children, and she’s dedicated to helping the organization improve health outcomes in communities that need it most.

Ardita Sallahaj
Ardita Sallahaj is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in financial and program management across international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. She currently serves as the Finance Manager at Action for Mothers and Children (AMC) in Pristina, where she is responsible for financial planning, donor compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Throughout her career, Ardita has held key positions at organizations such as UNFPA, ICMPD, UNDP, OSCE, Medical Park, and OIL KS SHPK, gaining extensive expertise in financial operations, procurement, budgeting, and donor relations. She is highly proficient in financial systems including Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, ATLAS, and Quantum, and is particularly skilled in financial analysis and narrative reporting.
Ardita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Prishtina and a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. She is fluent in Albanian, English, and Serbian, and is known for her precision, cross-sectoral adaptability, and strong professional dedication.

Fitore Mulaku
Fitore Mulaku holds a degree from the Faculty of Economics and has professional experience in the fields of finance and accounting. In 2024, she joined the Action for Mothers and Children (AMC) team and is currently working in the Administration and Human Resources Department.
Her transition from finance to human resources has enabled her to broaden her professional expertise and play an active role in supporting organizational development and internal capacity building. Fitore brings a strong foundation in financial processes, combined with a growing proficiency in HR and administrative operations.

Fitim Sadiku
Fitim first joined Action for Mothers and Children (AMC) as a Researcher and now serves as a Program Coordinator. He holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Prishtina and brings over five years of experience in scientific research. He has been actively involved in impactful global health research projects, including his contributions to the Group Care 1000 studies at AMC and Evidence Synthesis Group, with results published in leading international journals.
At AMC, Fitim has led several projects and components supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, with a focus on early childhood development and immunization efforts. In his current role, he helps design and implement health programs aimed at strengthening the capacity and knowledge of healthcare professionals across the country. Additionally, he leads AMC’s donation domain, actively contributing to the improvement of public healthcare infrastructure and service quality through various initiatives and partnerships, including collaboration with Americares in the United States. Leveraging his strong background in research, Fitim also supports AMC’s research efforts by mentoring international students conducting fieldwork in Kosovo through the ISLA Internship Abroad Program.

Merita Islami Sopi
Merita works as sales assistant for Teshavesha. She completed secondary school in commerce and tourism. She has around 13 years of experience in the sales department. She is sociable, an outgoing and well-presented shop assistant with a suitable work experience in retail sector. Her attention to details and her friendly approach has encouraged a positive relationship with all the costumers of Teshavesha.
