An MoU with the Main Family Medicine Center in Mitrovica signed

Prishtina, 14 March 2016-

Today we visited Dr. Fevzi Sylejmani, Director of the Main Family Medicine Center in Mitrovica, and his team to sign a memorandum of cooperation enabling the establishment of the Women’s Health Resource Center in their facility.

This location marks the 5^th Center that AMC has established to provide access to information on antenatal and postnatal care for women and their partners. The Women’s Health Resource Centers are working towards improving the health outcomes of women and their children by empowering patients and practitioners towards quality improvement and shared decision-making; two concepts proven to have reduced maternal and child mortality rates around the world. The services of the Women’s Health Resource Center are becoming an integrated part of the day-to-day services of the primary care facilities and help improve the performance and patient satisfaction indicators.

In today’s visit we were honored with the presence of Dr. Drita Lumi, from the Main Family Medicine Center in Ferizaj, who shared the experience of how the services of Women’s Health Resource Center have become part of the day-to-day services within primary care facilities in Ferizaj after being set up in March 2015.

The Women’s Health Resource Center in Mitrovica will be opened soon.
